What are they?  A selection of large and small-scale projection projects ranging from 9-channel installations to a 2 cm piece that uses a miniature microscope.

Where were they?  New York, San Francisco, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Beijing

The Project: Sonic Physiognomy | Sonic Portraiture
Prototype face scanner that translates facial profiles into unique sound bites. ​ (Images are a series of mock-ups, 3D models and stills from the installation.)

Why did I do this? To question and subvert the emergence of bio-metrics in the identification, profiling and surveillance of people.

Where was this? Interactive Telecommunications Program, New York University

The Project: Tactile Enlightenment
Video mapping unto sculpture (looped).

Why did I do this? To illustrate the different gestures used by sculptors in shaping the face of the Buddha.

What is it? An animation of real life word-play between lovers about racial identity, assumptions and projections.

Why did I do this? To tell the story of early 20th century Chinese immigrants held at Angel Island Immigration detention station.
